At Datica, we are building an AI-powered LegalTech platform that uses Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to transform legal research, document analysis, drafting, and other legal workflows.

Our platform helps individuals, lawyers, and businesses understand legal information, work with legal documents, and complete complex legal tasks more efficiently.

We are looking for a Motion Graphic Designer who can bring Datica's brand, product, and ideas to life through compelling animations, motion graphics, and video content.

You will help us communicate complex ideas around law, technology, and AI through clear and engaging visual storytelling, while contributing to a distinctive and consistent motion identity across our digital channels.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality product explainer videos, feature demos, and motion content for social media and digital campaigns.
• Visual Storytelling: Develop creative concepts, storyboards, and style frames from initial briefs through final production.
• 2D & Typography Animation: Animate typography, illustrations, UI elements using smooth, vector-based 2D motion design techniques.
• Video Production & Editing: Edit footage and combine animation, transitions, voiceovers, and sound effects into polished, final outputs.
• AI Integration: Use AI-powered image and video generation tools to explore concepts and enhance production workflows.
• System & Consistency: Develop reusable animation templates and motion guidelines to maintain Datica’s visual identity across all platforms.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, and design teams to translate complex AI/LegalTech concepts into engaging visual metaphors.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in motion graphics, animation, or motion design.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects (creating original animations beyond templates) and Premiere Pro.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Mastery of animation principles, smooth easing, typography-driven motion, and visual hierarchy.
• Ability to develop storyboards and translate creative briefs into engaging visual sequences.
• Practical familiarity with AI-powered creative tools in design workflows.
• Soft Skills: Strong visual judgment, ability to manage multiple projects independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.

Portfolio Required

• Please include 2–3 relevant projects showcasing animation quality, visual storytelling, and creative execution.
• We’d love to see examples of clean, vector-based motion, SaaS product demos, or UI micro-interactions in your portfolio.
• Examples of AI-assisted creative work are highly welcome.
• Applications without a portfolio or showreel will not be considered.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with technology, SaaS, fintech, LegalTech, or AI companies.
• Experience with Persian and bilingual (Persian/English) kinetic typography.
• Understanding of social media video trends, audience engagement, and performance-driven creative content.
• Basic knowledge of sound design, compositing, color correction, or visual effects.
• Experience developing motion guidelines or contributing to a brand’s visual identity from an early stage.
